I know it’s 2017 and the rock band Foreigner probably should not still be touring, since their heyday was around 1977 – 1987 However, never say never. As a fan of the band, my wife and I saw them last year 2017 at the Walnut Creek Amphitheater at Raleigh, NC. I’d have to say the band was tight and the songs sounded great. Mick Jones the only original member was nowhere to be seen. Whatever the excuse, what I did know he wasn’t dead. With the absence of Mick, the band officially turned into a cover band of Foreigner, since there were no original band members to be seen anywhere. I don’t care if Mick took his knights of the
roundtable sword and dubbed them all Foreigners, it’s not really Foreigner. I mean the bass player of Foreigner was the bassist of the Band Dokken. I believe The FourTops are still going strong after all these years too, yeah…
We had a great time at the show, and Mick sure picked the best of the best as musicians to cover the songs. You’d think that paying a full price ticket to see Foreigner you’d at least see one original band member, not so at this concert. You know how it works. This is another example of how they laugh at you. It’s more than just the music, it’s about seeing the legends. The fans saw none. Foreigner failed that night on that one crucial part. Instead of postponing the concert they let it roll as a Foreigner cover band. Many critics agree, without Mick the last official band member, the fans are only paying to see a cover band. Not cool, even if the music was.
That’s how they laugh at you folks!
